BM Ikon
Pontika is taking the classic BM Ikon typeface from its Aegean and the Mediterranean origin to the North, to Pontus. The inspiring winter weather in the Black Sea Region made me want to create a new iteration based on BM Ikon. The harsh weather, the vista of green tablelands, the moist and foggy skies. Most importantly the historical fabric of the region was so rich that I had to try to revive it via experimental Georgian, Armenian and Greek scripts. I hope you like playing around with Pontika.
