This is where it began. A quiet instinct, turning into form. A language shaped through type, built from stories, from feeling, from the need to express.

Core is a record of that first motion, my foundation. These typefaces mark the early arc of a voice becoming its own. They moved beyond me, into the hands of others, helping shape ideas, identities, design across the world.

Now, they return, gathered as one. A chapter closed not in ending, but in evolution. This is legacy in motion.

Erkin

Erkin is a contemporary variable typeface influenced by 1960s psychedelic rock. It was named after a great artist known as "Erkin Koray." The goal was to create a wacky typeface that would match Erkin Koray's album covers (as well as other generic cover art from the 1960s and 1970s) but could also be utilised in current designs.

Ikon

Ikon was influenced by the Aegean and Mediterranean regions, with aspects from the Roman Empire's "Latin" past added. The tall and thin stems were created specifically for the unusual and exquisite stories that this typeface can tell. Although it is an all-caps typeface, you may alter up the atmosphere by using lowercase characters.

Arbeiter Neue

Arbeiter Neue font family is inspired by the history of the diaspora of guest workers to Germany in the 1960s. Arbeiter Neue incorporates a variety of forms that are influenced by machinery, pipes, and wires. Arbeiter Neue comes with 5 different silhouettes: Regular, Text, Mono and two unique styles; Fett and Abstrakt.

The most unique style in this font family is Arbeiter Neue Abstrakt and it was created in such a way that it seems virtually unreadable and "alien." It's the German signs in the eyes of the guest workers and the cramped town constructed of pipes and cables that they live in.

This font infuses the spirit of the Biliktu Foundry’s unique style, featuring alternative characters and rare ligatures that make it truly one-of-a-kind.

Kaikura

Kaikura is a homage to the musicians of the 1970s and is inspired by their Soul and Funky moods. I wanted to make something funkier and trippy after my "Erkin" typeface, and I believe I succeeded with "Kaikura."

A fresh take on an Uncial typeface. Inspired by Erol Büyükburç's 1976 record cover font (designed by Walter Haettenschweiler).

I was immediately fascinated with the font, Breitfette Unziale, used for Erol Büyükburç's Hop Dedik album cover. It started me thinking about how I could make it more legible and modern. This is how Erol Unziale came to be.

This typeface emerged from my personal curiosity about the events unfolding in the Balkans and Mesopotamia during the late 1800s, With my own personal connections to these regions, I delved into the stories that unfolded. Inspired by the stories of becoming strangers to once-familiar neighbors, of loss and separation, I decided to create lettering that captured their essence which in the end became BM Agia typeface.

Infusing my work with cultural elements, I aim to preserve the untold or nearly forgotten stories, keeping them alive through artistic expression. While my message may be subtle, because my intention was to make you curious, I want you to learn it yourself.

Costes Gracilis

The last summer wind and the last sunset on the Mediterranean shore inspired this piece. Gracilis is a follow-up to Costes, my first typeface. I wanted to develop a version that was more slim and contrast-heavy. To me, type design is a therapeutic endeavour, and I enjoy producing errors. In a way, I like how nothing is flawless. Break the rules, then learn how to break them even more effectively.
